Throw a rock onto a square. Jump and hop until you reach the rock. Pick it up. Keep jumping. Turn around. Jump back.
That's how I've always played hopscotch and she seems to enjoy it. And I certainly enjoy watching her play.
But after a while and when other neighbor kids started to join in the game, I started to wonder if I had taught her correctly.
Well apparently there are rules to hopscotch. And I wasn't exactly right. But Marley doesn't seem to mind.
